Property Damage Insurance Claim Help for USDAN Summer Camp for the Arts

Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts (www.usdan.org), started in 1968 and located in Wheatley Heights, Suffolk County, New York, is a summer camp that brings professional teachers and artists—actors, directors, playwrights, painters, sculptors, musicians, composers, dancers, poets, and novelists—to teach and collaborate with campers ages 5 to 18 from Long Island and New York City.

In August of 2018, two lightning strikes on the Usdan 140-acre campus caused a fire that burned one art studio to the ground and damaged another. Upon the recommendation of Goodman-Gable-Gould/Adjusters International client, Ms. Roslyn Wu, VP of Risk and Contract Management at Midwood Investment & Development, Usdan engaged GGG/AI to negotiate for recovery with Zurich, and with the experts engaged by the insurer, which included York Adjusting, DBI Construction Consultants and Belfor Restoration. Excellent settlements were secured.
