GGG/AI President and CEO, Harvey Goodman, has been selected to participate in a panel discussion at the American Conference Institute's upcoming National Forum on Construction Claims & Litigation. Taking place February 24-25 in New York City, this is the second year for this specialized construction law conference.
With over 35 years of experience in property insurance, Harvey Goodman has been involved with numerous complex construction insurance claims. Additionally, Harvey writes and lectures on builders risk, collapse coverage, catastrophic claim adjusting, gaps in insurance coverage and other topics.
Goodman will be part of the opening panel addressing "Managing Construction Disputes and Defect Claims, Coverage Issues, Containing Costs and Formulating Litigation Strategies, Settlement Negotiations, and More." This session will cover many topics, including: construction defect claims and whether it's covered under the policy; dealing with multiple policies/carriers over various years; and settlement negotiations. Goodman, in particular, will focus on the issues associated with collapse, water damage, design defect exclusion, resulting damage, and Builders Risk vs CGL.
