For 15 years, the Melbourne, Florida office of GGG/AI has proudly been helping policyholders throughout Florida with their commercial property insurance claims. This week's edition of the Brevard Business News highlighted Goodman-Gable-Gould/Adjusters International's public adjusters and the positive impact they have had on the businesses in Brevard County.
Within the article, "Goodman-Gable-Gould/Adjusters International marks 15th year in the region" Pat Cuccaro, Senior Vice President of GGG/AI, discusses how public adjusters can be a true asset to a business following a major disaster:
"'If the policyholder experiences a loss, whether it's because of a fire, a hurricane, a flood or a broken pipe, for example, it's the obligation of the policyholder to prove his or her loss to the insurance company, and most people are at a disadvantage. They don't know how to do that,'" says Cuccaro. "The burden of proof is the policyholder's responsibility. Public adjusters know the insurance business and are familiar with all the procedures so they can work quickly to expedite payments. ...
'As public insurance adjusters, we remove that level of responsibility of having to prepare the claim and we create a comfort level for the businessowner. The businessowner knows that their damages are going to be measured and evaluated independently of the person writing the check,' he said."
